Screen Savvy Kids workshops are designed to foster the development of kids' communication and critical thinking skills by giving them the chance to be media makers! When children understand how messages are constructed, they can begin to ask questions about the messages they receive through media everyday. Media literacy education gets kids thinking... "Who created this message and why?" After participating in a workshop, Screen Savvy Kids develop critical cognitive and social skills that are essential to living a fulfilling and successful life (both on and off the screen) in the 21st Century. Check out the workshops listed below and visit Screen Savvy Kids blogspot for samples of students work.
